Aamir Khan is not the new Munna Bhai

Vidhu Vinod Chopra doesn't begin the casting for his films until he completes his script.

The grapevine in B-town is that the Munna Bhai jodi - Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi - has been replaced by Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi in the next edition of the "Munna Bhai" franchise.

When producer of "Munna Bhai" series Vidhu Vinod Chopra s official representative was asked, he rubbished the rumours saying, "We are not even ready with the script of the next "Munna Bhai" flick and this is a baseless humour. Vidhu Vinod Chopra doesn t begin the casting for his films until he completes his script.

Besides, Aamir Khan is not free for another two years." Quiz him about the promos of the third edition (which have Sanjay and Arshad) that are on air, he clarified, "The promo with them was shot two years ago."

Sonali Bendre wants sequel to 'Sarfarosh'

Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre has said that sequel to 'Sarfarosh' should be made.

Actress Sonali Bendre, who played the female lead in the 1999 action film Sarfarosh , feels a sequel to the movie should be made though she is not keen to star in it.

Directed and written by John Matthew Matthan, Sarfarosh dealt with a police officer s poise and determination to crush cross-border terrorism.

The film starred Aamir Khan as ACP Ajay Singh Rathod, Sonali as his love interest and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in a negative role.

"There should be a sequel to Sarfarosh . It was a different film. John is a great man... and he should write a sequel and I am sure he will excel in it (sic)," Sonali said.

Earlier, even Aamir had evinced interest in the second installment of the film.

بالی وڈ کی اداکارہ ملائکہ اروڑہ خان جن پر فلم دبنگ کا مشہور آئٹم گیت ’منی بدنام ہوئی‘ فلمایا گیا تھا کا کہنا ہے کہ اب دبنگ ٹو میں بھی اسی گیت جیسے ایک اور گانے پر زور دار رقص کرنے کے لیے تیار ہیں۔

دبنگ فلم میں گانا منی بدنام ہوئی بہت کامیاب رہا تھا اور اس میں ملائکہ کے رقص کی خوب واہ واہ ہوئی تھی۔

ممبئی میں اسی گانے کے لیے ایک نجی ٹی وی چینل نے انھیں ایوارڈ سے نوازا۔

اس موقع پر ملائکہ نے کہا کہ منی گانا زبردست ہٹ رہا اور اب ہم سب پر دباؤ ہے کہ اس سے بھی بہتر گانا تیار کیا جائے۔

انھوں نے کہا کہ وہ ایسے چیلنجوں سےگھبراتی نہیں اور جم کر کام کریں گی اور یہ گانا منی سے بھی اچھا ہوگا۔

’منی بدنام ہوئی‘ کی زبردست کامیابی کے بعد بالی وڈ میں آئٹم ڈانس کی بھرمار سی ہو گئی ہے۔

فلم تیس مار خاں میں قطرینہ کیف پر فلمایا گیا گانا’ شیلا کی جوانی‘ بھی کافی مقبول رہا تھا۔

جمعہ کو ریلیز ہونے والی فلم’ بن بلائے باراتی‘ میں ملکہ شیراوت پر ایک گانا’ شالو‘ فلمایا گیا ہے۔ اس گانے کے بول میں بھی منی کے لفظ کا ذکر ہے۔

اس پر ردعمل کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے ملائکہ نے کہا کہ ’انھیں اچھا لگتا ہے جب دوسرے گانوں میں بھی منی کا ذکر ملتا ہے اور یہ ہمارے گانے کی کامیابی ہے۔‘

دبنگ فلم، اداکار سلمان خان کے بھائی اور ملائکہ کے شوہر ارباز خان نے بنائی تھی جبکہ اس کے ہدایت کار ابھے نو کشیپ تھے۔

لیکن دبنگ ٹو کی ہدایت کاری ارباز خان خود کر رہے ہیں۔

ملائکہ خان کا کہنا ہے کہ ارباز ہمیشہ سے ہی ہدایت کاری کرنا چاہتے تھے اور اب بلآخر ان کی تمنا پوری ہونے جا رہی ہے۔

ملائکہ خان جنھوں نے اب زیادہ تر فلموں میں آئٹم سونگ ہی کیے ہیں نے کہا کہ ’اداکاری کرنے کی میری کوئی خواہش نہیں ہے، میں نے کبھی ایسا کہا بھی نہیں کہ مجھے اداکاری کی خواہش رہی ہے لیکن مستقبل میں ایسا ہو بھی سکتا ہے کہ میں اداکاری بھی کروں۔‘

ملائکہ کے مطابق وہ خود کو فٹ رکھنے کے لیے بھرپور ورزش اور ڈانس کرنا پسند کرتی ہیں۔

Katrina Kaif suffering from selachophobia

Katrina Kaif would have realized by now that 'zindagi na milegi dobara' (you won't get a second life), as she had a close encounter with a shark. It happened during the shooting of her upcoming film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD).

The actress, who plays the role of a sea diving instructor in ZNMD, was supposed to jump into the sea for one of the scenes in the film. Following the director's instruction, she plunged into the sea and looked up to see the crew making some gestures. But she could not make out what they were trying to say and it is only after the shoots, she came to know that a shark passed closeby to her.

After the incident, Katrina has become selachophobia (a fear of sharks) and she is very scared of the dangerous creature of the sea.

Kareena Kapoor will be seen three action films this year

Kareena Kapoor will let action speak louder than her words with a three-flick run this year.

The actress will be seen getting action-y in Siddique's Bodyguard, Sriram Raghavan's Agent Vinod and Anubhav Sinha's Ra.One.

Says an insider, "Bebo loves glamorous, performance-oriented roles and isn't too fond of action. Yet, she will shed her feminine persona for these three films.

She does what her director tells her to. All three films have her in different and exciting roles from a college student to a super spy and the mother of a small boy so she has gone all out for these flicks.

In AV, Kareena, shoots from the hip while hanging out of a helicopter, in Ra.One, she will be seen getting into fist fights."

Says Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha, "This is the first time Kareena is doing action scenes.

She is part of the serious action sequences including hand-to-hand combat. The film has several such sequences and she features in almost all of them."

Considering it is her first time, she was hesitant about doing these scenes. Notes Sinha, "Kareena has never told me she dislikes action scenes.

She may be a big star but throws no tantrums. She does what she's told to do. The action has been designed and executed by Hollywood action directors Andy Gill and Spiro Razatos (of Fast and Furious fame)."

'You will fall in love with this another Aishwarya'

"Aishwarya will make you fall in love with her, " according to Roshan Abbas, director of Shah Rukh Khan-produced "Always Kabhi Kabhi". No its not Aishwarya Bachchan but Brazilian beauty Geselle Monteiro who plays the character named Aishwarya in the director's maiden venture.

Monteiro, who played the role of Harleen Kaur in "Love Aaj Kal", has been cast despite her limited knowledge of Hindi.

"When I was looking for Aishwarya I wanted a face which made you say wish she was my love. Geselle has that quality. When we saw her at the auditions, this quality of hers came out in dollops. With her innocence and charm, she will make you fall in love with her, " said Abbas.

On her Hindi Abbas said: "It was a problem. She said if you change the lines I don't know what I will do. Don't change the lines and give me the script in advance. She had practised her Hindi a lot. She trained under a teacher to get the dialogues perfectly."

The movie based on the play Graffiti directed by Abbas is about four unique lives trying to compete with the pressures of growing up and the firsts that we all experience in school.

"The youthful music and the freshness of the film is surely its USP, " said Abbas. "I had done quite a few shows with Shah Rukh (Khan) and while doing the shows, I suggested that the play be turned into a movie. He agreed. I have cast fresh faces because I wanted to make stars than getting stars to act in my movie."

When asked to explain the title of the movie, the director said: "Today's teens think many things at one time. They always want to do them but only kabhi kabhi (sometimes) do them. They are always in love but kabhi kabhi they fight.

The essence of the title and the movie is 'kabhi kabhi jo dil kahe always wahi karein' (always do what the heart says sometimes)."

The cast Zoa Morani, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey along with Monteiro and Abbas were in the city to promote the movie and they had a rocking time playing the interactive game of sketch charade with the audience.

Giselle Monteiro fell in love with kebabs and chaat while shooting in Lucknow for Roshan Abbas' Always Kabhi Kabhi.

The Love Aaj Kal actress isn't much of a foodie and barely eats Indian food otherwise.

But once she got a taste of the authentic Lucknowi cuisine, she just couldn't resist it.

She ate kebabs every single day during her shoot in the city of nawabs.
